BROWNSVILLE, TX (June 10, 2010) Actor Mel Gibson and the film crew of AIRBORNE PRODUCTIONS, INCORPORATED took up temporary residence at the Homewood Suites Brownsville to shoot scenes for the upcoming movie, “How I Spent My Summer Vacation”. The all suites hotel was honored to be selected to host the production crew and actors while they were filming the action flick in downtown Brownsville.
According to Shradha Sojitra, Homewood Suites General Manager, the crew and actors were extremely comfortable and pleased with the hotel accommodations and the service. The guests included Mel Gipson (Star Cast), Adrian Grunberg (Director), Stacy Perskie and Ann Ruark (Producers) along with the Airborne production crew. “Mr. Gibson seemed relaxed over the weekend while chatting with the production crew and hotel staff members in our lobby. The crew even left gifts for members of the hotel staff”, said General Manger Sojitra.
The film crew set up a production office in the meeting room offered by the hotel and enjoyed the full hot breakfast and dinner provided by the hotel each day.
The days started getting hectic on Monday when shooting began early morning and lasted until late evening. Upon returning after a long day of shooting in the hot South Texas sun the crew enjoyed the hotel pool and spa.
Mr. Gibson was in town until Wednesday and left late evening after completing his last scene in Downtown Brownsville.
