Williamsburg, VA – Newport Hospitality Group, Inc. (NHG), a leading hotel management company is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Hoefling as Vice President of Operations.
Mark as senior executive leader brings strong equity partner relations and sales operational expertise from his hospitality career spanning two decades. He was previously the Chief Operating Officer for American Hospitality Management, Inc. where he was central to strengthening revenue and developing distribution strategies. Prior to that he spent 13 years with IHG Hotels & Resorts overseeing leading brands and major owned assets in North America (US, Canada and Mexico). Under Mark’s leadership top performing hotels received “Torchbearer” and “Quality Excellence” designations. Additionally, three division members were awarded “Director of Sales of the Year” for their respective brands. Mark is recognized for his ability drive team performance and profitability, through enhancing hotel partnerships, while always staying committed to the guest experience.
Mark will initially focus on working with NHG leadership, on property teams, and hotel ownership to develop short term and long term financial and operational plans which support the overall objectives of the company.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and is a Certified Hotel Administrator. Mark currently resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife and three children. In his spare time, you can find him working on his handicap at the golf course.
