WILLIAMSBURG, VA – Newport Hospitality Group (NHG), a leading hotel management company, is proud to announce its ongoing support for the Falcon Children’s Home Golf Tournament, a charitable initiative benefiting the Falcon Children’s Home.
The Falcon Children’s Home and Family Services holds a legacy of over 114 years, providing a sanctuary for children who, for various reasons, cannot reside with their families in a traditional home setting. Although the ideal is for every child to grow up in a family environment, there are instances when this isn’t feasible. In such cases, Falcon Children’s Home steps in, offering an atmosphere that nurtures and cultivates a child’s potential, ensuring they lead successful lives. The organization’s contribution in reshaping countless lives showcases its remarkable impact in making a real difference.
The enduring dedication to Falcon Children’s Home began with Michelle Williams, Area Director of Sales for Newport Hospitality Group, and Adam Collier, General Manager of Home2 Suites by Hilton Fayetteville North. Nearly two decades ago, as members of the Fayetteville Area Hospitality Association, they were introduced to the Falcon Children’s Home. The Association, each year, would select a charity to champion, culminating in a golf tournament and silent auction where the proceeds would benefit the chosen entity.
Upon concluding Falcon Children’s Home’s engagement with the Association, Michelle, fervently backed by her husband Mark, took the reins in sustaining the Falcon Children’s Home Golf Tournament and Silent Auction. The duo has been instrumental in fundraising and securing donations for the event, guaranteeing that all proceeds are directed towards Falcon Children’s Home.
Driven by the compelling narratives of the children at Falcon, NHG’s Corporate Director of Engineering, Ron Baker, became an ardent supporter. Through goodwill events held at NHG this year, Ron successfully raised over $4,000, embodying the company’s deep commitment to the cause.
The Newport Hospitality Group’s involvement has been unwavering, with their participation intensifying annually. Wayne West III, President of Newport Hospitality Group, and his wife, Marianne, remain staunch advocates, underscoring the importance of raising awareness and fortifying ties with the beneficiaries of Falcon Children’s Home.
Wayne West III, reflecting on the collective endeavor, remarked, “This tournament epitomizes the spirit of community collaboration. Witnessing the concerted efforts to elevate these children’s lives is genuinely heartening. Newport Hospitality Group is immensely proud to be a pillar of support in this noble mission.”
This year’s tournament boasted 88 participants, with previous events drawing up to 92 participants. To preserve the event’s integrity, a cap on participation is enforced. The previous year saw a laudable $15,000 collected for Falcon Children’s Home, and the anticipation is palpable to match or even exceed this figure in the current year.
Adam Collier, touched by the spontaneous generosity, shared, “Moments like when Michelle received an unconditional $1,000 donation, serve as reminders of the profound trust the community has in our mission.”
Newport Hospitality Group warmly invites everyone to familiarize themselves with Falcon Children’s Home and Family Services and to actively engage in their altruistic pursuits.
