WAYNE WEST III

Wayne West III, President guides NHG’s portfolio to ensure each hotel performs to its full potential. With 40+ years in the industry, he is fully prepared to help any hotel maximize guest loyalty and associate engagement while ensuring exceptional revenue performance and profitability. Although Wayne has a very hands-on management style, he nonetheless encourages individual growth through collaborative thinking and groupwork.

Wayne’s hospitality career began with entry-level roles in all aspects of hotel operations. After holding several general manager positions, he has advanced to VP of Operations, Chief Operating Officer and now to President. He has managed properties all across the United States and his diverse background has given him a well-rounded approach to leadership so that he excels in all hotel disciplines.

Wayne attended East Carolina University and has been named a certified hotel administrator by the American Hotel & Lodging Association. Over the years, Wayne has operated, supervised and owned assets in the IHG, Marriott and Hilton systems as well as boutique hotels. He has been a part of the Owners Council with Marriott, served as a member on IHG’s Food & Beverage Committee, Operations Committee and Standards Committee, and the Chairman of the IHG Owners Association in 2020-21.

Outside of work, Wayne enjoys the quiet life with his wife Marianne of 40+ years in a small lakeside town in North Carolina where there are no traffic lights and more boats than cars. Spending much of their free time out on the water, it’s a place lost in time and they wouldn’t have it any other way.
