Tommy Beyer has been a vital component of Newport Hospitality Group’s success for over 10 years. During this time, he has progressed from a front desk associate to his current role as the Vice President of Regional Operations. Tommy’s keen understanding of the financial intricacies at each property help him drive improved profits for owners. By taking the time to develop a strong rapport with his general managers and owners’ representatives, he ensures that they work hand-in-hand to deliver results that exceed the expectations of the brand and ownership.
Tommy has a degree in hospitality management from the University of South Carolina. He is a certified hospitality administrator from AH&LEF and has completed numerous courses at Cornell University through their executive professional development program.
Throughout his career, Tommy has won awards, both personal and team-based. He was named one of the Top 30 Under 30 by Hotel Management Magazine. He also won the Stevan Porter Emerging Hospitality Leader of the Year by AH&LA. He won GM of the Year for the State of Georgia as well as GM of the Year for NHG. Some of the awards that his teams have won include the CEO Light and Warmth Award with Hilton, Best Guest Services for the State of Georgia and Outstanding Lodging Employee of the Year from AH&LA.
Combining his award-winning approach to hospitality with his financial acumen, Tommy is well-positioned to assist all owners in achieving new levels of success. His focus on providing exceptional guest service all while exceeding fiscal expectations results in more committed associates and more satisfied owners.
Outside of work, Tommy enjoys spending time with his wife and two children as well as attending South Carolina sports and car racing events. He is also an avid supporter of the community, mainly through the church he attends.
