Sean Branch’s passion for hospitality spans over 20 years in the industry, 15 of those with Newport Hospitality Group. As Vice President of Operations, he specializes in satisfying the disparate needs of the team, ownership and guests. No stranger to any part of a hotel, Sean drives optimum financial results and delivers operational excellence by never losing his passion to serve and by fastidiously analyzing industry trends so all properties remain relevant in this ever-changing business.
After attending the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Sean’s career in hospitality began with an entry-level position at the front desk before he landed in corporate sales where he was quickly recognized for his talents and promoted to director of sales. From there, he headed back to the operations side by acting as general manager for several NHG-managed Hilton and Marriott over the course of 11 years. Sean is also certified by the American Hotel Lodging Association.
Throughout his career, Sean has operated all award-winning properties ranking within the top of their respective brands as well as within the company. He has been recognized as GM of the Year by NHG, Hilton Garden Inn’s Regional GM of the Year and Hotel Management’s GM to Watch. Today, Sean’s role allows him to generate the same level of success for all properties he oversees through strong partnerships with owners and a cohesive brand vision executed across all hotel disciplines.
Outside of dedicating his energy to his passion for hospitality, Sean can be found spending time with his wife and three children by the ocean where the days are long, the sand is white and the waves are plenty. He often hits the pavement for long runs, loves listening to great music and enjoys anything that involves the great outdoors.
