LIZZ CHAMBERS

With over 40 years of hospitality experience spanning branded, independent, select-service, extended stay, conference, and new construction properties, Lizz Chambers now leads Newport Hospitality Group’s People Services team.

In a constantly evolving industry, Lizz emphasizes the importance of passionate, knowledgeable, and guest-focused team members. She works to ensure team members feel valued and empowered through effective training, development, and engagement programs that foster trust and motivation. Her mission is to create environments where associates can thrive and rise to meet new challenges.

Growing up on a farm outside Little Rock, Arkansas, Lizz developed a strong work ethic by tending to animals and working the garden before and after school. Although she initially studied acting with a concentration in opera theater, she found her true calling in hospitality after stepping into her first hotel. She brings the stage presence of her acting background into every training session and motivational seminar she leads.

In her free time, Lizz enjoys boating on the Chickahominy or Elizabeth River with her family and her amazing granddaughter, Eden.

Lizz firmly believes in putting team members first, saying, “It is imperative that associates feel confident, inspired, and empowered to be actively engaged. True organizational success begins with strong relationships built on mentorship and recognition of personal goals.”

She is a member of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International and The Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers. Lizz is also a Certified Hospitality Administrator and a Certified Hospitality Educator through the American Hotel and Lodging Association’s Educational Institute.
