Don Pritchard is a consummate “foodie” with over 40 years of experience and a passion that has taken him all over the world. His broad knowledge of design, logistics, budgeting and managing does not take away his love of cooking, menu design, recipes, and developing creative and memorable food service concepts.

Like many young chefs, Don started off washing a lot of dishes. Ten years later he became certified as an Executive Chef from the American Culinary Federation and a Certified Food and Beverage Executive from American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute. He has held key executive chef positions from one of the largest catering and banquet operations in Pittsburgh to gourmet dining at Caesar’s Palace. Don has also managed the F&B for independent hotels, such as Kingsmill Resort and Colonial Williamsburg, as well as corporate food and beverage for Tidewater Inn Management and Benchmark Management. In 1999, Don was selected as the Food Service Director for the Salt Lake City Olympics, which created additional opportunities for Olympic Games in Sydney, Athens, Beijing, Russia, Rio, and Azerbaijan, as well as the US State Department for the G-Summit and Presidential Inaugural food service.

With a proven success record of improving guest satisfaction and bottom-line profit, Don’s strong management skills and experience allows him to establish and implement systems and procedures to achieve these goals. His ability to educate, train and motivate employees results in a cohesive team affording greater productivity and improving guest satisfaction and GSS rankings. His commitment to cultivating and mentoring young food service professionals includes working closely with the USC School of Hospitality and Management, routinely speaking at the school since 2010. Don also enjoys a long relationship with the James Beard Foundation and was presented with the Angel Award from this prestigious culinary organization.

Outside of work, Don enjoys spending time with his family, even as far away as New Zealand where his oldest daughter has absconded with the grandchildren, or spending time at the beach with his lovely wife.
