Sean Branch

Vice President - Regional Director

Sean Branch’s passion for hospitality spans over 17 years in the industry, 13 of those in partnership with Newport Hospitality Group. His role as Regional Director ensures a balanced approach to ownership,  team development, and the guest experience.  An understanding of how each hotels fits within Newport Hospitality Group’s culture along with each specific brand voice provides the proper foundation. No stranger to any aspect of hotels; Sean’s approach is to drive optimum financial results, operational excellence, and everything in between with the same vigor.


Part of his success comes from a deep and well-rounded upbringing in the industry. His career began by holding an entry level positions at the Front Desk before moving to Sales where he mastered this arena over the next few years as Director of Sales. From there he headed back into operations as General Manager over several Hilton & Marriott properties under NHG ,spanning over 11 years. Most recently, he has brought a connection between Corporate Leadership and the field as Regional Director of Operations.


During his career Sean has operated all award-winning properties to rank within  the top of Marriott/Hilton brands as well as within the company. Additionally, he was achieved Newport’s GM of the Year, Hilton Garden Inn’s Regional GM of the Year, and was named Hotel Management’s GM to Watch. Financial and service excellence at the highest level has been apparent throughout his career.


Today his role allows him to generate the same successes for his properties through high-level execution of all hotel disciplines. His strong partnership with ownership and the brands allows cohesiveness to push success forward.


Sean attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and is certified by the American Hotel Lodging Association.
